ACT IRON

We’re delighted to announce the creation of Act Iron, a programme of free theatre-making workshops for disadvantaged artists, made possible with funding from Sussex Community Foundation. Act Iron aims to increase artistic participation for local people, create supportive networks of grassroots artists and discover new voices.
We thank Sussex Community Foundation for their belief in our work.

The Act Iron workshops, which will be first be offered digitally from April and then move to in-person post-lockdown, are for beginner writers, actors and directors, or those who might have already made some work. The workshops will be free and are aimed at those who are from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our aim is to increase artistic participation for Sussex-based people, create supportive networks of grassroots artists and discover new voices.

Participants will also get six months of free access to professional development classes on The Ironclad Hub, Ironclad Creative’s free-to-join online community space and training platform.

Expect more details soon.

In the meantime, w
e are keen to make contact with artists who would like to take part in the classes, AND small community groups and organisations who would have members who they know would be interested.
