The Writers' Space
The Writers' Space is a two hour writing retreat in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Libraries.
We have been running the pilot project at Jubilee Library since 2022, proudly providing free writing space, collaboration opportunity and networking for new and professional writers from across the city.
We have recently been awarded a National Lottery Project Grant to run the Writers' Space at Jubilee Library, Whitehawk Library and Moulsecoomb Library from July 2023 for 12 months.
The Writers' Space provides a quiet space to write and think alongside other writers and those who want to try their hand at it. With writing prompts and an opportunity to share for those who need it and simply space to write for those who don't.
Expect to turn up, say hello, and find a spot to write. We'll be on hand to offer encouragement, prompt and support throughout the writing retreat. This is a great space for those who are writing a project or just want a few prompts to get into the writing flow and come up with ideas.
