WRITING RETREAT - BRIGHTON FISHING MUSEUM
5th November 2023
A day in the LOFT space of the Fishing Museum Brighton, right on the seafront to write, think and be inspired.
This is for you if you want a space to write alongside other writes. Expect tea & coffee on hand plus we might also offer the odd biscuit.
We're not teaching or giving feedback in this session - though do head to our membership community for more of that sort of thing. However, this day is just a chance to sit amongst other writers and put some time aside for your work and your writing.
Facilitated by our very own Co-founder and writer in his own ... er... right, Andrew Allen, the day will start with some greetings and intention setting before you're left to write. Feel free to take breaks and go sit on the beach if the weather allows.
We aren't able to provide lunch but there are lots of shops & cafes nearby (fish 'n' chips anyone?).
At the end of the day, we'll share how it has gone and celebrate each other.
It doesn't matter what you're writing or at what level. We welcome all people wanting to write. Whatever you're writing - be it academic work, films, fiction, memoir, poetry or your CV - you're welcome to pop along and use the time to write.
*** PLEASE NOTE! ****
SADLY as this is a historic building on the seafront inside the museum, this space is only accessible via a set of steps - there is NO LIFT. We will aim to be running more retreats soon in accessible places.
The SPACE is petty RUSTIC and atmospheric! It's a historical space under the arches just by the pier on the seafront itself. Wrap up warm.
Make sure your laptop & device is as charged as it can be. We'll have some charging points but NOT AT THE DESKS. We do not have extra charging cables or plugs - so do bring your own.
If you have any queries or questions about the Writing Retreat - get in contact.
DISCOUNTS!
We're offering £5 discount for members of the Ironclad Hub: https://ironclad-hub.mn.co/
